Jean Tinguely, one of the main protagonists of Kinetic Art, responded to Helmuth Gsöllpointner’s invitation to take part in his large-scale project “Forum Metall” at the Donaulände in Linz with an artistically designed missive. Although the two artists did not end up collaborating due to time constraints, the documentary evidence of the artistic exchange between the participants testifies to the innovative spirit of the project.
